Bill Browne has a secret. He knows how to become a World Champion Carver, and after 27 years in the wildfowl carving business, he’s ready to share it!

“There are 3 basic rules to being a championship carver” he says with the tone of a wise karate master! “I learned them down in the Bayou. You have to eat when you’re hungry. Get at least 12 hours of sleep one night a week. And you have to listen to Jimmy Buffet music!”

If Browne is still following the laws of Cajun carvers, they evidently work. He is an accomplished wildfowl artist whose work has earned him the title of Master Carver in the World Wildfowl Carving Championship.

Browne’s artistic skills have earned his work prominent places in homes, museums and businesses around the world. Browne has won three best of shows at the California Open, one in the Pacific Flyway Decoy Show, and two in the pair’s competition at the Gulf-South Championship. Internationally, he received third best of show in the World Pairs Competition in 2001.

Browne’s list of accomplishments is too long to list, but we’re very proud to have worked with Browne, and look forward to more carvings headed our way!
